The day after the ADCC 2015, Professor Tony Passos talks from Sao Paulo, Brazil about the competition.
We had an amazing weekend at the ADCC 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. ADCC is the most prestigious grappling competition in the world. Several of our ATOS teammates competed, including Professor André Galvão who won the super fight of the event. Professor Tony Passos helped in the final preparation of the training camp and in coaching at the competition.
Thanks to Professor Douglas, a black belt under professor Andre Galvão , for hosting the team at his academy, Academia Ono in São Caetano do Sul during the week’s training camp leading up to the competition.
The fighters prepared themselves well for the competition and came ready. Just like it goes – not everyone can win. We had some victories and some losses, but it doesn’t change how proud we are of everyone. The most important thing is that we don’t stop, but keep pressing forward. We will return to the ADCC in two years and will come stronger, faster, and more prepared than ever.
We want to thank the fighters for their hard work and everyone who has been part of the training camp (in the U.S. and Brazil); for the training partners that dedicated their time and sweat in preparation for not only the competition but for a lifetime dream. And a very special thank you to Bruno and Adam for being here and supporting the team the entire team.
Saturday we had our Team Passos kids seminar/training camp. Thank you to all the coaches for the dedication on the mat. You guys are the best! And thank you to all the parents for the support and most importantly, the trust in what we do. We love your kids and we will continue to push hard in this partnership for them to succeed in life!
A HUGE thanks to everyone who participated in the Backpack Drive! Today we had the honor of presenting the school supplies to Pastor Edwin and Pastor Brian with Riverside Church. Riverside will distribute the supplies to families in the Sugarland Run, Sterling community – where they have strong connections and partnerships. These items will be a welcomed blessing to many and it couldn’t have been possible without each of you.
