We’re excited to be at the IBJJF World Masters in Vegas. These events are always a great opportunity see good friends, and to coach and watch some of the top athletes in the world where we can learn even more of the art of Jiu Jitsu. We couldn’t be more proud of each of our team mates’ who have competed at this event. Thanks to our entire team for helping each of the competitors prepare for this competition. Without your training and commitment to the art of Jiu Jitsu we won’t be where we are today.
Before and after class are always a fun time for students to hang out and make friends. This is when we celebrate birthdays with snacks and congratulate each other on milestone accomplishments and promotions. Team Passos is more than a Jiu Jitsu academy; we are a BJJ community and family.
We are proud to announce the newest Team Passos blue belts and purple belt. Congratulations, Andy, Dom, and Nate! These promotions are an example of goal setting, consistency and dedication in training. Each promotion is a promotion of the entire team!
In your BJJ journey you will have ups and downs. But over all in the long-term, it comes down whether or not BJJ is a priority in your life – not necessarily the highest priority, but a priority nonetheless. Focus on the baby steps (not the promotion) and set specific goals which will be a tool to handle the pressure. From there the promotion will eventually come.
Check out this very special video highlighting Team Passos’ Brazil BJJ training camp we did last November in Professor Tony’s hometown of Recife. It was a great time we made a lot of new friends and enjoyed world-class training. When we weren’t on the mats our time was filled with pristine beaches, relaxing by the pool, and eating amazing food.
