Functional Mobility for Jiu Jitsu

Functional Mobility for BJJ Workshop – 11/12

Improve your BJJ game through targeted mobility exercises

Having higher mobility means you will be able to execute BJJ positions more effectively and roll better.

Feeling stiff and tight means you are also losing some of the motion and mobility that is essential to better jiu jitsu and a healthier life.

Stretching is great but will only get you so far. Go beyond passive stretching with functional mobility training that targets key areas with focused, intentional exercises (and stretching) will optimize your training and help you feel less tight and stronger.

This is why we are facilitating Functional Mobility for BJJ workshop on Saturday November 12th from 8:00-9:30 AM at Team Passos HQ in Sterling, VA.

During this workshop, you’ll gain tools that you can adopt into your regular routine that will take your jiu jitsu to the next level and make you feel better overall in your day-to-day. Remember, consistency is key. As you consistently implement the techniques taught during this workshop series, you will be able to successfully apply new positions and techniques.

Aside from just increasing your range of motion, mobility training:

  • Strengthens tissues
  • Mitigates injury
  • Improves fitness ability
  • Give you more options for positions to implement on the mat

As much as technique is important in Jiu Jitsu, it’s all about mobility and body mechanics. Team Passos Jiu Jitsu position-based curriculum intentionally incorporates instruction that leverages principals and body mechanics to facilitate learning and equip students to navigate various situations on and off the mat.

Who is this for?

This workshop is open for any BJJ practitioner regardless of academy affiliation. And if you don’t practice jiu jitsu but are interested in attending, awesome! You are welcome to attend as well. The techniques taught in this class can benefit everyone.

 Cost: $35 per person
