Bom dia and happy Labor Day! Today starts our 2015 BJJ season and also marks the day of a very special achievement. We are celebrating the anniversary of Professor Tony Passos buying his BJJ gym two years ago today.
Among several of his Jiu Jitsu goals, Professor Tony held on to the dream of owning his own gym. After years of hard work, perseverance, and staying focused on his goal, this dream was realized (all those evenings cleaning the bathrooms and working the mouse costume at Chuck-E-Cheese paid off!).
Labor Day is a holiday celebrating the social and economic achievement of workers and consequently their contributions to our country. Professor Tony has walked the unique and challenging path of an immigrant arriving in the U.S. with little more than a hope and is a true testimony that the American dream is still alive. Thanks to all who have been a part of this process along the way.
We encourage everyone to go after their dreams and work hard until it is realized. Together we can accomplish more than we could ever imagine possible!
